Who's Who

  • Cora Dierksen is the daughter of Carl C. Dierksen (She was 10 in the 1930 US Census).
  • Harold H. Brakhage is the son of John H Brakhage (He was 9  in the 1930 US Census).
  • Mildred Lorena Brunken is the daughter of William Leopold Brunken (Born 15 Mar 1920).

Story

The boy in the middle of the picture may well be thinking "They get to go barefoot - why do I have to wear shoes?"  More likely he is looking down because the sun in his face makes it uncomfortable to look at the camera.

The car appears to be the same as the car in the Can I Be In The Picture Too? post. Note in particular the mud on the tires in the two pictures.  Also, the men in the Can I Be In The Picture Too? post are the fathers of the children in this picture.

Who is in the car?
There at least three people in the car. I wonder why they are in the car and not also in the picture?

Date

Circa 1924. Assuming that the children in the picture are about four years old..

Location

Lahoma, Oklahoma - probably.

Notes

  1. Scanned on October 29, 2014 from a picture album prepared by Hilda Ida Brunken.
